We are introducing a new project called “Senator Spotlight” – which is aimed at highlighting all of our hard-working State Senators.
First up is life-long Hyde Park resident Robert J. Peters. Robert was appointed to the 13th District of the Illinois Senate to finish Attorney General-Elect Kwame Raoul’s term. He has been politically active for years, and at 33 years old he is one of our youngest members.
“The 13th District is my home. It’s baked into my DNA. I am a proud product of Ray Elementary and Mount Carmel High School. It’s where I organized to raise the minimum wage and reform our broken bail system.” -Sen. Robert Peters
